How We Install Patterned Concrete

First we will dig out the existing surface and remove any waste. The current state of the surface will determine the time it takes to do this. For example it is quicker to remove turf than it is to remove old concrete or tarmac.

Once dug out to the required depth, we will add a layer of hardcore / crusher run. This will be compacted using a compactor and will provide a solid base ready for the concrete to be poured. Any drainage or required shuttering will be positioned prior to the concrete being poured.

On the morning of concrete day, all hands will be on deck. This will allow us to quickly lay and prepare the concrete before it sets. The concrete will be smoothed over before your chosen pattern is imprinted. At this point the colour is also added.

After several days the surface will be ready to seal. If you have opted for different coloured edges or designs, these are painted prior to sealing.
